  • Qualified educational grant requests for R&D, clinical, technical, and scientific programs, such as funding of educational conferences and seminars.
  • Sponsorship requests payable to healthcare organizations or their foundations.

We prioritize well-rated charitable entities and programs through which a very high percentage of the corporate donation is applied to clinical or research efforts (vs. to administrative/operational/capital expenses). Examples of funding or events generally not supported; Fundraisers supporting direct patient or community initiatives, Health Fairs, Bike Rides, Golf Outings and Walk/Run events.

Siemens Healthineers provides unrestricted grants to support continuing professional education, best practice sharing, and/or clinical demonstration via educational conferences, seminars, meetings, other live events, and presentations in other formats such as Internet-based presentations and publications.

Support of Healthcare-related events/programs (with or without exhibit/display opportunity), payable to HCO and their foundations only. Opportunity to support brand and/or technologies. This can include exhibits and/or purchasing of advertising opportunities, not related to charitable donations or fundraising events.

What We Support

Charitable Donations and Sponsorships

For charitable donations and sponsorships, Siemens Healthineers is currently supporting the focus areas of:

  • Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging
  • Laboratory Diagnostics
  • Cardiology
  • Oncology

Educational Grants
Support for clinical, technical, and scientific education programs focused in the areas of:

  • Medical Imaging
  • Laboratory Diagnostics
  • Clinical IT, including Computer-Aided Diagnosis and Clinical Decision Support

Siemens Healthineers provides unrestricted grants to support continuing professional education, best practice sharing, and/or clinical demonstration via educational conferences, seminars, meetings, other live events, and presentations in other formats such as Internet-based presentations and publications.

While Siemens Healthineers does not control the content of such accredited educational sessions, the selection of attendees, or the use of financial support, we contribute funding to programs that educate on topics aligning to our portfolio and approved clinical applications of technology. In-person forums must be predominantly educational (vs. recreational) in nature, held at an appropriate business venue, offered by recognized clinical experts, and ultimately designed to support the advancement of patient care. In exercising proper professional discretion and awareness of industry organization (e.g., AdvaMed, PhRMA) Codes of Conduct, Siemens Healthineers encourages event organizers to avoid resort locations and recreational opportunities.

Request Criteria

All requests are initially assessed by Siemens Healthineers against the below criteria:

1. For charitable donations and sponsorships, Siemens Healthineers is currently supporting the focus areas of:

  • Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging
  • Laboratory Diagnostics
  • Cardiology
  • Oncology

2. We cannot be sole supporter. Any given event must also be funded by other organizations as well

3. Direct-to-beneficiary: Siemens Healthineers does not sponsor third-parties to support donation efforts (e.g., Siemens Healthineers will not contribute to a hospital's fundraiser to benefit a charitable organization). When appropriate, Siemens Healthineers sponsors a beneficiary organization directly.

4. Any charitable fundraiser, such as a gala being sponsored, must provide at minimum 65% of the funds to the intended cause vs. administrative/event expenses (e.g., a $1,000 gala contribution, a minimum of $650 must go to the intended cause while $350 or less could be going to support the costs of the gala).

5. Local chapters of national non-profits: please contact your national team to identify and submit an annual request to Siemens Healthineers. We are unfortunately unable, in most circumstances, to entertain separate requests from local entities.

6. The fundraising is not accomplished via a golf outing or other sporting event.

7. For Donations, we ask whether your organization has requested previous support. It is unusual for Siemens Healthineers to grant multiple donations to the same organization within one year.

8. The request does not fund the following:

  • Construction or capital improvements
  • Endowments, general operations costs, salaries of employees, etc.
  • International programs, even if the charity is a U.S. organization
  • Individuals
  • Religious or political initiatives

9. The beneficiary/requesting organization must be a U.S. organization.

10. Siemens Healthineers employees may not submit a request on behalf of an organization.
