Dr. Melanie Pollan, PhD, MT (ASCP); Senior Director, Scientific & Clinical Affairs at Siemens Healthineers
Dr. Pollan has over 20 years of experience serving the laboratory in several roles including technologist, consultant, and administrator. She currently works as the Director of Scientific & Clinical Affairs as well as the Collaborations Manager for North America at Siemens Healthineers. Dr. Pollan completed a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Health Science at the University of MS Medical Center with a concentration in pathophysiology. She has Conducted research on sustained drug delivery systems and the impact of androgens on the male reproductive system. Dr. Pollan demonstrates her passion for laboratory medicine daily by supporting laboratorians and clinicians with education in multiple diagnostic disciplines, including cardiac, infectious disease, diabetes, sepsis, and endocrinology.
