In September 2024, around 200 school graduates in Germany will start their careers at Siemens Healthineers with vocational training or dual study programs. With a share of 65 percent, training in technical professions predominates, followed by IT and commercial professions. Training locations include Erlangen/Forchheim, Kemnath, Rudolstadt, and Marburg, as well as service and sales branches in regions such as Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, and Mannheim.

“In a constantly changing professional world, we are laying the foundations for young people's professional development and lifelong learning. Our practice-oriented training and degree courses in healthcare prepare students for the digital challenges ahead. Despite the intense competition for young talent, we were able to fill almost all positions for this year. We are looking forward to the next generation,” reports Marco Friepes, Head of Talent Education at Siemens Healthineers Germany.

Since the start of in-house training in 2018, the number of apprentices and dual students starting each year has increased significantly. 35 percent of the training positions are in dual study programs, where graduates study and gain practical experience in the company during their lecture-free periods. Since 2024, a Dual Master's program in Cybersecurity and a Bachelor of Engineering in Data Science have been offered to meet the demand for skilled workers in these relevant professions. The company continues to offer vocational training positions for electronics technicians for devices and systems, mechatronics technicians, industrial mechanics, integrated systems consultants, office management clerks, medical-technical radiology assistants (MTRA), glass apparatus builders, cooks, and restaurant specialists.

Applications for the 2025 training year are already being accepted online. Information about the individual professions and study programs, as well as a link to the online application, can be found here.
